When your reputation is based on a high level of service...

Workers in Omaha, Neb. take home $8 an hour  to dress up like a chicken and pass out coupons for broilers at supermarkets. In Columbus, Ohio an associate earned $9.50 an hour to dress as a tiger and toss out cereal boxes to psychotic fans at an N’Sync concert.
In Champaign, Ill., an Express staffer was hired to sit in a chair on the street and watch a manhole cover. The associate got $8 an hour to see that no one moved the barricade or stole the tools of the technician down in the hole, said Express Personnel owner Elaine Angelo.
Del and Elaine Angelo own an Express Personnel franchise whose reputation is based on a high level of service. Services they offer their clients puts them ahead of their competitors. They handle sign-in time, monitor absenteeism, time cards, breaks, parking, company policies and procedures, vacation and holiday pay records, etc.

“When I won a big job at the Caterpillar plant, I placed from 30 to 60 temporary workers at a time there and immediately installed TimeCentre. TimeCentre improves staff productivity, simplifies management of the services I offer and, as a result, enhances my competitive position.”

TimeCentre makes things easier to manage. “It has definitely decreased employee hour hassles. It’s easy to track who is at work and what time they came in. There is no question when they claim, ‘Oh, I was there.’ What’s in the clock is what’s paid, so everyone clocks in.”

‘No only that, we poll the clock remotely to see who’s arrived on each shift. If there’s a worker shortage, we can manage that from our office.’

With TimeCentre, there isn’t even a need to train each employee. “TimeCentre is very easy to learn. This is a big issue when you have a large staff turnover. We post instructions on the clock and it’s foolproof. If workers can use a telephone, they can use TimeCentre. This simplicity is a big plus for us.”

As an approved corporate vendor, the Express Corporate office sent Del information on TimeCentre. He got a clock sent to his office, set it up and tested it. Once he was confident in its operation, he then took it to their client site where it was again set up and tested before the client. “Once it was up, we have not had to do a thing to it.”

About Express Personnel Service: Oklahoma City-based Express Services’ client base extends through six countries and employs more than 250,000 people annually. Company sales topped $962 million this year.
