The Saju Samuel Foundation launches a Campaign to bring Technology Tools to Atlanta’s Inner City Residents

ATLANTA, January 13, 2010 -- ‘The  Saju Samuel Foundation (SSF) is teaming up with the Inner City Organization, the Dream Center, and the Time and Attendance Company, TimeCentre to introduce a new initiative that bring Laptops to inner-city residents.

At this moment, many of us are carrying a blackberry or iphone which constantly updates us on current news, business, weather, or getting emails and social networking “status updates”, but in many inner city homes something a lot of us considers to be a basic necessity, a computer with internet access is financially infeasible.

For Pastor Paul and the Dream Center Staff who have been tirelessly working to improve the condition of Inner City Communities for a number of years, this partnership lends a hand in their Adopt-a -Block and Mind Your Own Business programs. “Currently, residents who need access to a computer would have to go to the local library, and many of them don’t have a sufficient form of transportation. To provide these residents with a computer in their home allows them to not only have the world at their fingertips, but also find a new sense of ownership in their life and potential. The younger residents can use the laptops to do research and work on homework while the older residents can use it to build resumes and search for jobs. As another example, the Mind Your Own Business program offers individuals the opportunity to come and develop their entrepreneurial visions, and by providing them laptops they have a resource that can help them realize those goals” said Pastor Paul.

SSF was launched this year with the CIO of TimeCentre, Saju Samuel, at the helm. He conveyed SSF’s vision to be, “Our hope is that we can contribute to the overall improvement of the community by changing the educational landscape for students and residents by providing them with current technological tools. Our desire is that with time and the participation of more individuals and businesses we will be able to positively impact the entire city of Atlanta for generations to come.” SSF invites individuals, organizations, and companies of all sizes in the Atlanta and Metro area to partner with them in this venture to improve the condition of our city, one individual life at a time.

About the Dream Center:
The Atlanta Dream Center was founded in the summer of 2003, by Pastor Paul and Patty Palmer along with their family and supporters. Since then the Dream Center has been blessed tremendously. The ministry has been given national recognition from shows such as the 700 Club, the TPE, Atlanta 56, and magazines and schools, yet none can top the recognition of the streets of Atlanta. The lives of many have been changed because of the call God has had on Paul and Patty Palmer and the ministry. The ministry is also a hub for many extended ministries such as Adopt-A-Block, Metro Kidz, Compassion Night, Princess Night, Feed-A-Cop, Clean Sweep, Adopt-A-Kid, Block Party, Youth Night, Master's Commission, M25 Clothe Ministry, Porch Ministry, Bus ministry, and much more. The Dream Center has become not just an asset to the community of Atlanta, but it has become a place of safety and comfort to those who have none. It is a place that seeks the will of God and calls others to do the same.
